Since lockdown Biasan has continued to offer support and advice via phone and socially distanced visits.
There are now English Classes, A Women’s WhatsApp group and Men’s Group. Grow your own Food Group, Zoom gym session Women’s Sewing Bee who made scrub bags and face masks. The Store is delivering furnishings and clothing and those asylum seekers being housed in Hotels are being offered support.
Biasan have been able to provide phone cards to those people who who not have been able to continue with their English classes or would be socially isolated without this.
Biasan have been distributing up to 40 Food Parcels a week since lockdown to families and individuals, many of whom have no recourse to public funds.
Biasan are lucky enough to have been supported in this by Lill Brothers
